Our goal is to inspire and encourage women to exceed their own perceived limitations and dance with heart and soul!

You Can Be A Heart & Soul Line Dancer!
Registration for our Heart & Soul Line Dance Team occurs once a year and take place on Fringe Day, October 17th! If you have a desire to dance with a performance team and love to shine on the dance floor, come on out and join us!
Fringe Day is our Dance It Out day for all ladies interested in performing with the Heart & Soul Line Dancers for our upcoming 2025 team. At the conclusion of all the dancing on Fringe Day, you get your Heart & Soul Line Dancer FRINGE!
No Experience Necessary!
All Dance Levels Welcome!
How It Works:
Fringe Day starts at 11am with check-in. We will create groups, and then you will Dance Out the dances we learned in Fringe Day Prep! Super easy and so fun! And the end of Dance It Out, you will get your team fringe and dance your first step as a 2027 Heart & Soul Line Dancer! So exciting! So whether you've been dancing for years or are just getting started, it's the perfect time to join us!
We have three teams that we fill.
Silver: Perfect for ladies who are just beginning their dance journey and are comfortable with the beginner to improver dances. This is where you build your confidence in learning the basics of line dancing and get comfortable with performing with the team.
Blue: If you have some line dancing experience and have mastered the basics, you'll be ready for our Blue team. You will learn more challenging dances and begin to get comfortable with performing and showmanship.
Pink: If you have previous dance experience and are comfortable with those more intermediate to advance dances and are super comfortable performing before a crowd, you are ready for our pink team! The dances will get more challenging as you continue to grow on your dance journey.
All teams perform together as a group as well as in individual teams at events. Our goal is to make sure you grow at your own pace on your own dance journey, where you are comfortable and safe. Each dancer takes their own path while we inspire and encourage each other as we dance!
Fringe Day takes place on Sunday, October 17th, from 11 am to 2 pm at
Studio X, 4000 Easton Drive, Suite 9, Bakersfield
There is no fee for Fringe Day. It's a FREE event. It is recommended that you register for Fringe Day Prep to learn the dances for Fringe Day!

What if I can't make Wednesdays at 5pm?
No worries! We get that some ladies have 9-5 jobs. Those ladies come in late or attend the Saturday practice. Some also watch the videos and then come to the workshops when they are able. -
How much does it cost to be on the team?
We try to keep the costs minimal, and we break the costs up throughout the year. The team practice workshops are $25 per month, and that will include all practices on the schedule, including bonus practices. We ususally hold practices three times a week (Wednesdays at 5pm, Thursdays at 5pm, and Saturdays at 10am). You are welcome to come to all but are not required to. We recommend at least just once a week to stay on top of learning dances. -
Are there additional costs?
Yes, there are costs for uniform items. The total estimate starts at about $100 total, but that can go up depending on the type of boots you purchase. -
Do I have to go to every performance?
Absolutely not. This is your dance journey. You create it at what's convenient for you. If you can't make a performance event, it's okay. We'll catch you at the next one. -
What if I have two left feet?
This is a popular one! Everyone starts line dancing with that first step on the dance floor, and that's why we are here to help guide and teach you as you grow on your own dance journey. We teach you step by step, and before you know it you'll be dancing with confidence.
